About Ed Barker
In 2012, British saxophonist, Ed Barker, performed a sax solo for one of the world’s most iconic pop musicians of our time: the late George Michael. Ed played the sax solo on George Michael’s ’93 hit single, Cowboys And Angels to tens of thousands of fans around the UK as George introduced Ed personally to the crowd each night. It was this sax solo that put Ed on the map.
Based between LA and London, Ed plays saxophone all around the world. Ed and Lance met in 2013 when Ed was producing his debut album, Simple Truth, and the song they recorded together, When You Smile, rocketed to #1 in the US independent pop charts, as well as #1 on the Indie Adult Contemporary Chart.
Ed was never formally trained on the saxophone - he is self-taught - but learnt his craft in Britain’s National Youth Jazz Orchestra (NYJO) and National Youth Orchestra (NYO).
